Tower St Print Project is run by Oyster Community Press CIC, a community arts organisation set up by Al Smyth, an artist/printmaker and Alison Smyth, a marketing and fundraising consultant with a background in the arts and Arts in Health programmes.
Our aim is to bring the art form of printmaking to people who may not otherwise have an opportunity to take part in an arts activity or to become printmakers.
We worked on a mobile and pop-up basis before settling in our current premises in the Tower House and still undertake pop-up projects.

IPSWICH PRINTWEEK
During the first Lockdown in 2020 when we were at home with time on our hands, we devised Ipswich Printweek 2021 to celebrate the work of local printmakers living within 20 miles of Ipswich at an exhibition in The Whistler Gallery in Ipswich, in the last week of May.
Since then we have been able to expand our activities to provide a week of printmaking events, including have a go sessions, open studios, pop-up studios, and a Printmakers Question time event, as well as the exhibition.

To be kept in the picture about all of our activities we recommend becoming a 'Friend of Tower Street', so that we can send you regular updates by email. To become a Friend, just click on the button below and fill in your subscription form.
