As we have been closed for most of 2020, we  are delighted to announce the launch of IPSWICH PRINTWEEK2021, our 1st annual exhibition of printmaking, which will open at The Whistler Gallery, at the Jerwood Dance House, Foundry Lane, Ipswich on 20th May until 28th May.

We have amazing artwork from over 40 local printmakers on display, with both established artists and newcomers work to choose from, at affordable prices. Every style of printmaking is represented, from Silkscreen to Woodcuts and Mezzotints to Linocuts, so you are bound to find something exciting to add to your collection. Even better, we are not charging commission on sales, so by making a purchase at the exhibition, you will support a printmaker who lives or works within 20 miles of Ipswich.

The gallery is open from 9.30 am to 6pm weekdays and from 11am to 5.30pm at the weekend. As the gallery is on the Waterfront, we would recommend  combining a visit to the exhibition with coffee in their lovely café overlooking the harbour and a walk along the marina, with possibly lunch or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.

As lead times are short this year, we will only be able to host an exhibition, but in 2022 IPSWICH PRINTWEEK  will have an extended programme with Open Studios, demonstrations, talks and opportunities for people to have a go at printmaking in and around the Ipswich area, as well as some work in schools and colleges.
