“Thank you so much for the fantastic print workshops you delivered to our year 12 Art students. Everyone had an exciting time and all your advice and encouragement were appreciated. I really hope we can work together again.”
Emma, Nick and Maggie, Ipswich School.
Portfolio Building Workshops are £15.00 per head for a half day delivered at the Tower St Print Project. They can also be delivered by arrangement at school if this suits staff better. Times and dates are agreed on an individual basis to fit in with the requirements of schools and further education colleges.

We are passionate about printmaking and have worked with many schools and colleges to help students enhance their portfolios with great work they have created at one of our workshops.
Before Sir Ridley Scott spoke so eloquently at the BAFTAs about the importance of education in the arts, we were preparing our latest flyer for schools, which explains how GCSE and A-level students can access the art form of Printmaking through special Portfolio Building Workshops. We had also taken the decision to provide these at a reduced rate for 2018, to help Art Departments, with squeezed budgets, to access this valuable resource and give more students a head start when preparing for exams and hopefully, life as an artist.
Our Portfolio workshops are designed to help students experiment with the possibilities of printmaking and to create work that they might not be able to produce in class. This allows students to demonstrate their understanding of different media and provides a unique opportunity for them to really enhance their exam or university entrance portfolios. We can teach either Drypoint Etching with Monoprinting or Linocutting including the Reduction method in half day sessions, either morning or afternoon. Students are encouraged to come with ideas and sketches prepared in advance and to photograph and make notes as they work.
Local schools in Ipswich who have incorporated our Portfolio Building sessions in to their art timetable have given us the OK to pass on these comments
“In a relaxed atmosphere, our pupils learned the timeless methods involved in linocutting and etching. This included the disciplines of creating the design, right through to the correct way to roll/mix printing inks and finally the execution of a crisp and vibrant artwork.” Westbourne Academy
“The workshop was extremely informative and allowed the students to work with a professional artist, creating both a lino cut and etching. The sessions enabled the students to get a unique insight from a professional print maker” Ipswich School
