Al is our Artistic Director. He is a printmaker with a love for linocutting and screen printing. He designs and oversees the delivery of our workshops and is responsible for our exhibitions. When we need to work with other artists on our projects, it's Al who sorts all of this out and ensures that everything runs smoothly so that the public can enjoy the work we create and exhibit. Al is qualified to deliver and assess Arts Award up to silver level and has helped over 300 young people achieve Arts Award certificates. He exhibits his own work when he gets time and has work in collections in the UK and Ireland.
Alison is the Business Development Director. She takes care of fundraising and marketing for the organisation and is responsible for things like budgets and project management. She makes sure we deliver a good service to our artists and students.
Lorna, an experienced youth worker and teacher, joined us as a Non-Executive Director on the board in 2015, but has worked with us on community arts projects since 2011. She has a background in the performing arts and in textiles, and is currently working with older people in residential care, providing arts and craft activities through her own company. She also teaches printmaking at Flowerfield Art Centre and creates costumes for Big Telly Theatre company productions.
