LINOCUTTING, reduction method

Reduction linocutting differs from multi-block linocutting, in that only one lino block is used. Multi- colour images are still achieved but by removing the areas of your design in sequential order (lightest colour first) and overprinting with darker colours. We specialise in teaching this challenging, but exciting method of linocutting in small, hands-on workshops, so that you will receive plenty of one-to-one tuition.

Our course is suitable for beginners or those with rusty skills and will teach you how to linocut in single and multiple colours and work towards producing and printing a final 3 colour print. We guarantee you will get great results to be proud of!
